IITJEE – Accuracy in Rank prediction by 100percentile

Last year on 14th April, 2008, 100percentile with the help of VMC predicted the ranks students can expect based on their expected score in IITJEE 2008 exam. In this blog, I want to highlight the accuracy of the predicted data. VMC teachers with their huge experience of IITJEE coaching provided 100percentile with the rank prediction data.
Following table shows rank ranges, actual marks scored by the students in IITJEE-2008 result and the marks required to score the rank predicted by 100percentile team (click here to see the last year prediction).
On 13th April, 2009, 100percentile will publish “What rank I can expect in IITJEE 2009 results?”. Please do visit http://blog.100percentile.com

i am expecting around 180 marks in iit jee 2009 i belong to SC CATEGORY FEMALE.Would there be a generalised cut off marks or would it be a category wise if so what could be the cut off marks for the category SC (FEMALE).What would be my position and can i get into any of the top five(5) iit colleges in higher branch.

Sir i don’t think that your prediction is very accurate.
You have used the marks obtained as criteria of accuracy however in jee even a change of one or two marks can create a huge difference in rank . Hence you should have used ranks obtained as criteria of accuracy. For e.g if you predicted a rank of 1500 at some particular marks then according to above shown table the actual rank obtained at those marks came out to be 2000. Hence accuracy of your prediction is only 75%

Hey,
Do you guys watch movies in theater or on internet? I use to rent DVD movies from Netflix.com. Recently I discovered that we can watch all new movies on internet on day, they are released.
